A Message of Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is a uniquely American holiday—a time to pause, reflect, and gather with those we hold dear, expressing gratitude for the many blessings of the past year.
For my wife, Monite, and me, we continue to embrace the joys of “empty nesting.” We are incredibly proud of our two children, both of whom are away at universities in different states—Oregon and Mississippi—pursuing their dreams. This year also marks a special milestone for us: on November 19th, we celebrated 25 years of marriage. Our partnership has been a testament to the power of grace and humility, strengthening us individually and together.
At Aspen Financial Strategies, we deeply value the relationships we’ve built with you over the years. We appreciate you so much, and you brighten our days. As many of you know, 2024 has been a year of transition for us. While change can be challenging, it has also offered us an opportunity to refine our processes and enhance the efficiency of our practice. We are proud to say that, just eleven months into this transition, we are stronger than ever. Monite joined the firm as Office Manager in January and has been instrumental in implementing and maintaining these new structures. We also partnered with LPL to provide a dedicated Administrative Assistant, Meghan Trahan, who, along with her team, ensures that all administrative tasks are completed smoothly and efficiently.
This summer, we welcomed Wheaten Smith as an intern, offering her a chance to explore the financial consulting industry. Looking ahead, we plan to expand our team further, to train another full-time team member over the next three years to become a licensed financial consultant.
Our renewed vision has allowed us to refocus on one of our core priorities: education. We believe that an informed investor is a more empowered and engaged one. To that end, we continue to offer regular reviews and organize in-office and online seminars on a variety of investment topics. Additionally, we remain committed to staying current with evolving technologies to provide the best possible service and interactions.
On behalf of my team, I want to wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving. Thank you for your continued trust and support. We are grateful for you and for the opportunity to serve you.
Warmly,
Joel Vergel de Dios
